Is your shop ready for the new US customs rules?

ITEM: [item name]

Base item cost: $[X]
Estimated duty rate for this product/country of origin: [X]%
(look up your HS code at hts.usitc.gov)
Estimated duty amount: base cost × duty rate = $[X]

Current US listing price: $[X]
Suggested adjusted price: current price + estimated duty
  + [small buffer %] = $[X]

Notes:
- Duty rates vary by product category and country of origin
  — this is a working estimate, not a guarantee.
- Re-check this worksheet if your supplier, materials, or
  ship-from country changes.
- Consider testing the new price on a few listings before
  updating your whole shop.
- This is not tax, customs, or legal advice — for anything
with real money on the line, a customs broker can confirm
  exact rates.

☐ Confirm whether your ship-from country requires DDP for
US orders (non-US sellers shipping physical goods do).

☐ Open Shop Manager and check for Etsy's US tariffs
   calculator in your listing form.

☐ Look up accurate HS codes for your product categories
   at hts.usitc.gov.

☐ Add clear, specific customs descriptions to your shipping
profiles — avoid vague terms like "gift" or "sample."

☐ Check whether your shipping carrier offers a DDP option,
or use one of Etsy's partner shipping services.

☐ Recalculate your US prices to include the estimated
duty cost (see the worksheet above).

☐ If you ship to the EU too, check its July 2026 customs
changes separately — the rules aren't the same.

☐ Re-check this list if you add new product categories or
start shipping from a new country.
